Sanitary services area
This is the main developing area of FABELEC in which Automations have been made in various ways to control Pumping Systems, Drinking water and Sewage water treatment systems:
Pumping System with Variable Speed and Constant Pressure (PBP)
It consists of a system that allows the running of the initiation and stops of the pumps in sequence permitting to vary their speeds according flow demand using frequency converters in order to maintain the pressure set point. The system consists of measuring the pressure in the line which signal is received by a PLC that will command the pump start and stop and their speed through the frequency converter as the flow demand change, keeping the pressure always at the set point.
Pump Station
Multi pump start and stop control according a signal received in a PLC which according to the flow requirement, managing pressure signals and flow in the line which are taken from a PLC that will control the sequences. In addition for remote control it has been incorporated a Telemetry System.
Drinking and Sewage Water Treatment Plant
Monitoring and control processes involved on this plants, handling valves, levels control of tanks and wells, telemetry systems for remote control, additive injection control. In these applications there are involved equipment such as OEMax - Samsung PLC, Hakko and Infilink HMI solutions for operators supervising and the process, Maxstream Radio Modems, Pressure transducers, Pneumatic pressure switches, Manometers, Level sensors. In all these projects the extent of the work goes from Control and Power Panel Boards to PLC programming and the final start up of the system.
Energy Area
In this area there has been projects developed related with Electrical Power Control Systems and Climate Control Systems in office buildings, Hotels and Malls. This application permits to control from a computer (Centralized Control) with the incorporation of a HMI Software (Human Machine Interface), the signals of the PLC that usually are taken from the data acquisition module or from a demand for electricity meter.
Refrigeration Industry area
In this area there are multiple processes of Control and/or Automation. One of the most frequents are the administration and control of temperature signal, condensers, compressors and electric parameters on a computer (centralized control) by HMI software that are transmitted from sensors located in cold chambers and production processes units.
These signal are taken by the PLC’s and sent by cable or by a radio MODEM (if necessary) to the HMI where the graphic screens display the ground variables in which the operator can make decisions about the system performance, manage drivers, modify process set-point and/or visualize parameters in real time (temperature, time, equipment function, alarms, etc.) of each process or cold chamber.
Fishing Industry area
On the fishing vessels it is very necessary to know the temperatures of the cold chambers and to control minute by minute the different mechanical and electrical components of the vessel. This is achieved by capturing the signals of the machines, motors, illumination and others that are processed and can be reported to a HMI software or it can be given failure alarms or change of events.
Industrial Area
Being one of the most automated in the economic sector and where is required more efficiency and productivity in the processes, the amount of applications made are more diverse and of different magnitudes. We can mention for example Flows Measurement and Control, Long Cut Materials Measurement and Control, Temperature Measurement and Control in processes of plastics injection, Tallying and Rejection of defective products in the production lines, start and stop motors Control according to the process, starts and stops of water pumps and dosages according to flow signal or level, etc. All these applications are possible to be done through the use of PLC that capture the signals from sensors located in the process units or from the modules of data acquisition. The information or signal is transmitted to a HMI software to be displayed on the screen where the operator handles and controls the different parameters or it can be sent to an Administrative System, for example of Invoices or Inventory Management.
Mining area
In this area the applications have to consider special variables in relation to the heavy type work environment, vibrations and protection of the equipment. There are many possibilities of application in this area and some of them are: operations variable register of machines in ground processes, ventilation control system in mine tunnels, security system on risky machinery, monitoring system and telemetries for distance control systems. In these applications PLC Samsung have been used in all of their kind of equipment, Array PLC, Hakko and Infilink HMIs, Maxstream Radio MODEM.
